The image on Debbie's Humor 4 Nature Note Card was captured along the Batavia River Walk in Batavia Illinois. A Great Egret and turtle just happened to be sharing space on a pile of drift wood along the edge of the Fox River as I passed by. When I look at the image on this card, I visualize the Egret having a conversation with the turtle. Possibly telling a joke, or signing a song to it. The turtle appears to be very interested, like it is hanging on every word or note. This moment lasted only a few seconds. If I had passed by a few minutes later, I would have missed the whole thing. I was in the right place at the right time. Moments after this image was captured the turtle just slid off the log into the river below. The egret suddenly turned, stepped off the log, then began to walk along the river ever so slowly. It was such a funny moment and wonderful memory. A perfect selection for my Humorous Note Card Category. There are so many ideas for this image and card. I hope that you enjoy and use the suggestions above.
